Amp Lag (n): The time between the purchase of an amp and when you can plug in and crank it up loud for a sustained period of time.
Ex: I'm suffering from amp lag until next Tuesday.
It's sitting in my garage, looking really nice, saying, "Play me. Play me loud." But I can't. I live in a condo, and my neighbors would kill me.

It doesnt get any easier.

I've never cranked my amp, and I've always wanted to. Don't want to hurt my mutt though, and the neigborhs wouldnt care for it.
