This is pretty cool.
At first I thought you had covered it with painted macaronis, pre-school style.

nope. one of the pots broke, now fixed with two chrome knobs

I've been considering using fabric with pickguards. You could use velcro or 'poppers' to attach the fabric to a thin plastic pg. Then have various bits of fabric cut to shape. Changing the look of the guitar would take a few seconds and the options are near endless.
