so if I can get a 70's musicmaster and a silverface musicmaster bass amp for like 600 cash then it would be a good deal assuming they are in good condition, etc.

The guy is asking 400 each and has them listed on separate adds. I am just thinking that he might take 600-700 for both in one transactions. Alot less headache. I would only go to 700 if they were both in really good shape as xmas is too close to be going overboard and I still need to buy an acoustic guitar sometime in the very near future.

It is kind of weird. He has it listed as a bassman amp 1x12 combo. No pics or anything. It is listed as an older amp so I am thinking that it is a musicmaster bass amp or some sort of older bassman but I have never heard of a 12" bassman. As long as it is not a newer bassman bass amp than I wouldn't care.

Give the MM a play and see how you feel about it. I had a late 70s one (78 I think) and it was lush, but there are plenty of 70s dogs out there, esp late 70s ones with maple fret boards. If it's heavy as a mo-fo leave it. You can't just judge stuff by age.
My one was around £150 in 2002 ( about $200 at the time)
