I've got a terrible strat copy that I've decided must live on, so I'm installing a Fender Enforcer Humbucker and taking out everything else (save for a volume knob).
Here's pictures of the guitar now. The strings are off 'cause I had to check the insides.
Once it's done (could be a couple weeks, as I still need to buy a custom pickguard and y'know, pay for it) I'll post new pics.
Here's the final product! I give you the ROK AXE DX!

The headstock shape looks like a birth defect. I like the name enforcer.

If I had a cheapy black strat to mod I'd go the DOOGCASTER #2 route.
Obviously you're lacking the maple neck.

That is a cool idea, but I'm running on limited funds and am going for a simple set up.

well if you just wanted to do the one pickup thing you could always get one of these
$13 at
Guitar Fetish . That's a pretty cheap option and it'll looks clean as hell.

Dude, that's a great idea. I was gonna get a custom 'guard from Warmoth, but this is a great cheap alternative. Thanks.

This has given me an idea. I might mod my first ever electric guitar - A trans green Tanglewood Strat copy. It looks pretty cool, but plays horribly.
