Cheers guys, I'm glad they're still getting used and are proving roadworthy. I have Aen's Plane Ticket boost on my board and I loves it.

Yup, definitely more useable than the Fender drive boost. (Sorry if that's kind of a backwards compliment Mike...I know it ain't saying much. LOL!) Had it up to about 10:00 initially, and it was a nice smooth boost with a little more bottom end than I usually have. Then put it at 2:00 to see where it took things, and was thoroughly impressed. Nice clear, fat tone without getting boomy or losing definition. That's nice work right there.

Thanks very much mate, it's always nice to hear what people think of it. I've never messed with a Fender boost, but I know their pedals can be decidedly hit and miss. The Fender Blender fuzz in some versions suffers from a hideous volume drop where the Fuzz volume is QUIETER than your clean signal.

I mean - come on?

I was just using the onboard boost on my Hot Rod's drive channel. I've heard the same about Fender pedals. Actually I've mostly heard they're all shit, but whatev.

I'll probably be hitting you up for one (+ the Mike sticker) in the next few months. Dots is letting me borrow his for now. Funds are a bit skosh with a wedding to pay for and a backup guitar to buy on the down low so the future wife doesn't get her knickers in a twist.

out of all the things i've had on a pedalboard, i've never ever taken my salt boost off and i never will. unless mike becomes world famous pedal guru and i upgrade to a gold plated, cloth wired mojo booster version 2
Fender Classic Player 60’s Stratocaster>East Coast T1 Tele>
Epiphone Les Paul SL>Ovation 12 String acoustic>Peavey Strat DIY Relic

Marshall Origin 20H>James’s old purple 2x10

I want to build my first pedal, i was thinking about a clean booster. The thing i'm having doubts about is "where to put the circuit", pcb? Perfboard? other options?

Whatever you've comfortable with. I've been using veroboard/stripboard since I was a kid.

Thanks Proggie.

I was thinking abot using striboard, just because, and correct me if i'm wrong, you don't need to print stuff like with a pcb

Damnit. I was planning on spending all day watching the football/rugby/boxing and playing guitar with the booster, and now I can't find a plectrum.

That is correct. You get a series of strips of horizontal connections. If you need to break them you use a drill bit or a "spot nosed cutter" to cut the trace at one of the holes.
