thats right, fucking mohogany tele cut for buckers

BUT I'VE GOT TO GET OFF MY ASS AND DO SOMETHING!!!
need serious inspiration to do mad work on this thing

i've sanded it down somewhat, can finish that in the next couple of days, plug in holes w/ doel rods, make holes for an sg layout, then i've got to fill some sand-through areas [grain filler?] prime, paint, assemble...

fuck i'm too lazy for this...

well, I don't know why you sanded it. it already was a pretty nice color but oh well, that wood grain looks pretty nice. you should just sand it all off and then slap some of this on there:

you can get it at any gun shop or sporting goods place.
cogito ergo sum...thing or other...

thats been tossed about, i can do bucker sized p90s but i dont want to route the thing for it all
my ideas were to paint it white, have my friends and family [artistically inclined ones anyways] each paint something on it, stain the back since it's such a lovely grain, and white headstock

so

white on front, sides, and headstock
stain the back and neck
need to find another squire decal [thats right, proud squier abuser]
mojo random stuff that peeps put onnit
clear coat
hum sized p90s?

i'm thinking lp style with no pguard, dual 57's or your choice of teh cliche, then yeah, gold top FTW. with white binding. and clear back. and fret markers shaped like a dog draggin its ass on the carpet.

scratch the last one, that's all mine!

sweet find tho, what'd you give for it? i assume it was a 72 RI kinda deal that someone gnarled?

No.

Yes.

That would be a terrible mistake. Keep it chrome.

i think the gold with gold would be ok, but gold with black would not be very cool imo. g on g would be a little too rich for my blood. how does that neck feel? my flatmate has a butterscotch one with black pg / duncan-designed pups, and a maple neck, and that neck is fucking ZEE BUTTEH. i actually consider buying it from him so he can buy an amstd tele, but it's so damn ugly! i always wondered what it'd look like without the pg and quilted.

any progress pics are herein mandatory.

p.s. - it looks like a string thru. what you gonna use for a bridge? it'd be a lot of work to do a lp bridge, what about one of those fixed strat-style bridges with the newer saddles? here.

or a '51/bucker-bridge tele style?

2 buckers
mini toggles for coil selections [top coil/full/bottom coil]
concentric volume pots for each pickup
push/pull tone bypass
gfs srv tone circuit [mid boost]
it's going to be balls cool
just w/ the mini toggles i can get 14 different sounds

ordered some wire, 2 1meg pots, orange drop caps, s'more solder, and a black 3-way [as i've robbed the original one to put on the duo]

decided i'm going to keep this one simple, just going to find some knobs, maybe these

might get a jb/jazz combo soon, unless there any other bucker sized pickups anyone recomends

so yeah, i dumbed it down, but i think it's going to be pretty cool

oh, and i'm going for some spray paint and primer tomarow
