In my experience, the bridge cover is a real hindrance towards playing. It makes palm muting difficult.
This thing isn't exactly the prettiest thing, but who is even going to notice it? It's not as much of an eyesore as a Floyd Rose. From a distance its hard enough differentiating between Mustang and Jazz/Jag saddles.

i got a bridge cover on my avri jag, and it's wonderful. no hindrance to muting there. . . never put one on my mustang when i had it, but i suspect it would be the same. different strokes, i guess.

I'm not a fan of them thar bridge covers, never had one, i just think they look gay.
