Yes - and it looks sooooooooooooo much better!
Shame about the paint chipping, but it's not so bad.

to be honest, i've gotten used to the damage now and with the other hardware removed, kinda looks more like the goldtop of my dreams.

check it out:

1957 Les Paul Custom w/ Bigsby

EDIT: hey, notice how the bigsby is not lined up perfectly in the center. that's interesting. I've mounted a couple bigsby's on gibson style guitars and the thing is, the strap button is not exactly centered, so you can't use that as guidance. it's interesting whoever installed this didn't catch that. do you think it's stock or an after-market modification? I don't see any stop-tail holes.

wait, I guess that silver circle on the left end of the bigsby is covering the stop-tail hole. so yea, it is aftermarket.

yea, it's pretty easy to do. bigsby's come with instructions. you just use two included pieces of string to line it up down the neck.

and get some plugs like these at a hardware store to fill the stop tail holes.

Sweetness indeed. My friend had a '76 deluxe goldtop that sounded and felt absolutely incredible.
