Well maybe because the mexican Toronado's have more of a vintage look to them,I have a 98 model and I love it,its one of my fav guitars.

Y'know, as much as I like the idea of this USA made Toronado, you just can't beat the look of the original MIM style.

i never really paid much attention to them till they came out with the american deluxe versions. those things were slick.

What are the value of these things?

I know toronado bridghes,jazzy trems and mustang bridges arent that expensive, but I can't imagine spending over 500 bucks for something with a stoptail/tune-o-matic setup. Hence I'm not a Gibson guy.

I has Toronado Bridge on my Duo-Sonic. It is hot shit.

I think the Toronado would look so much better without that hideous Pickguard. It is so massive.

A little better in Black/Tort but still.. fucking hell

But unfortunately they have things I dislike also, like the TOM and Tailpiece and the uncovered Pickups.

That scratchplate on the MIM Toronado would be the perfect compromise in my opinion.
