I ordered this a few days ago and it's getting here tomorrow and I can't explain how excited I am.
I'll post real life pictures when I get it but i wanted to share my elation.
Looks very nice. Which of the three sites did you order it from? Wildwood?
I actually just found OffsetGuitars while researching the thin skins, haha. I'm sure i'll all over that place since I'll actually have one soon.
And yeah I ordered it from Wildwood. Out of the pictures I saw on the sites, they had the one with the grain I liked best. The one in the OP isn't actually the one I'm getting, since they took it down after I bought it. I think mine is way more boner inducing.
Hah yeah that was one of the things I learned on the Offset forum. Thanks for the warning though :] I feel awful for people that never got a chance to learn that and had their brand new guitars marred.
I've heard of this problem with finish coming off from the plastic shit on stands. Guild mentioned it in the owners manual for my guitar
Is this only a concern with certain finishes? Nitro or poly?
I'd like to leave my acoustic around on the stand so i can pick it up whenever without hassle, but this scares me :0
I've been keeping it in the case when not playing during the winter though since the central heat really dries things out.
(sorry for the derail )

nitro and rubber are caustic to eachother(chemically reaction, they infuse) when this happens one of two things happens.
1. the rubber leaves a stain on the finish, or will burn into the finish and rubber will be infused with your finish.
2. the finish will come off on the rubber and may only take off the clear, but it can and will take the finish completely off to the bare wood.
depends on the manufacturer and year.
pretty much everything pre 1965 or so is nitro.
and high end guitars(electric and acoustic) are sometimes nitro.
custom stuff is usually always nitro.
and high end custom stuff is usually a waxed, or hand rubbed finish that can be even more tempormental than nitro.
