I have the opportunity to trade my dd3 for a tap tremolo. Does anyone have one? are they worth the extra bucks they cost more then the danelectro?

The Dano trem (Tuna Melt) if that's what you're on about, is my second favourite trem ever: it's lovely. I bought and flipped a Tap Trem because I never got to like it; the tuna melt I loved straight out of the box.
Don't do it.

If you don't need the tap tempo feature, go for the Dano. It's a lovely, very natural sounding trem.
Get the cool cat instead of the tuna melt, though.

Really? Have been wanting to hear from someone who's played both. It to a GigFX Chopper and my Vibrochamp for me to part with mine, and I still ummed and ahhed about it.

What? For $4 more you get the exact same pedal with true bypass and a metal case; it's totally worth it.

I haven't seen schematics of the Cool Cat Tremolo. Is it really identical?
I didn't realise the price difference was that small in the States.

It's bigger in jolly old England?
Here it's $36.99 vs. $39.99 or something silly like that. They're the same basic circuit, though.
