Vox AD60VTX

I just won an auction for a Jazzmaster and that amplifier and I am wondering if its worth to pay for the shipping of the amp from UK to Greece since I just want the guitar.
It seems discontinued so I cant get a list price, what do you reckon it can go for if I relist it on ebay?

They are nice amps, I'm not sure about value but they were the high-end versions of the Valvetronix amps, with added Pedal models as well as Amp Models before the Effects and also better speakers, aesthetics and memory capacity.

I think they're great recording tools. Heavy though.

i tried the exact amp once at a gig and didn't like it at all. most likely it was shitty room with too much reflection, but in the end the thing sounded very muddy and thumpy whatever i did with the treble knob. also, i'm not sure how exactly it works, but it sounded like there's a built in noise gate which muddied the attack even more.

oh, well, since you're shipping it anyway, i think you should try it out

All the Valvetronix amps have a learning curve. I was never 100% happy with the few I owned, seemed they were very good at covering a wide range, but the cheap cabinet & speaker always killed 'em for me. I'd really like to try the '60VTX, bummed me out when they canned it.

i really need to sell it and upgrade to something better
