I got it on Freestompboxes.org, it took a little finding, here is the stripboard and schematic.

Image

Took me two attempts to get it right on stripboard, I still have no idea what was wrong with my first build, everything checked out fine, must have been a random component failure.

Anyway, prototype it and build one - they're fabulous.

Cheers indeed. I shall mark it up and get the case drilled tomorrow, get back to me about paint and LED colour and we'll be rocking and rolling.

I drilled the case today at my folks by the way, I was going to Prime it tonight but it's too dark and I can only spray in my shed. I will do it first thing tomorrow and get some colour on shortly afterwards. I'll get some pictures of the case in the next few days and of the board when I build it. Can you pm me an email address so I can contact you if the board is unavailable etc?

hey mikey boy, i think i mentioned in the effects forum, i'm defo gonna send the box of rock back up to you this week. but also, i'd like to send my salt booster in for a little mod, could you change the led to blue? or would that be major annoyance to do?

another question can you make a saltbooster switchable between say a flatter EQ and Normal Or Fatter as a mod?

Yeah both of those things are doable.

I will fix up the Box Of Rock for you, I'll completely replace the board with a brand new one (do you want a Blue LED for that also?).
The Saltbooster I can replace the LED no problem, what do you want from the tone switch? Less Bass?

I can use it to switch in a higher value cap on the output stage to pass less bass if that's what you want?

yeah, so it'll go from normal to flat, that would be cool.

you don't have to re-build the whole thing mike, try and trouble shoot this board first, proggie don't mind. blue leds would be cool if not too much trouble.
Just let me know what dollar you need bro.

I won't take any money from you, the Box Of Mike isn't behaving itself, and that's my problem to fix, not yours. You cover shipping to me and I'll cover shipping back to you.

So you're finding you wish you could cut bass from the Saltbooster? Just want to get what you want clear

yes, you see, i use the saltboost with my hammond organ, to give it a little more dirt. on certain settings i use, it gets a little muddy. not too much, but i though if you could make it switchable between normal and flat, or normal and a bass cut. to clarify, as long as i have the original saltboost sound intact and add this option to it, i'll be happy.

Will do, I'll do a normal and bass cut option. The normal mode will be the same output cap as you have now, the bass cut will be a lower cap value to only let through higher frequencies.

Toggle switch ok?

yes, perfect, that and the blue led would be cool. i have this thing for blue leds lol. i dont mind where the switch it placed, wherever is easy for you.

i'm trying to rehouse the reel echo at the mo, i love it, just not the size. it's either that or begging james to sell me my pb&j delay back.
