Personally I feel reluctant to make offensive comments to people I don't know, it's nice to see that others aren't encumbered by the sense of common courtesy that I'm saddled with.

Some boards have Terms of Service restrictions about this sort of stuff, I guess that's not an issue for you here, nice to see.

Could it put the two pickups in series? I don't mean a series/parallel toggle for the lead circuit, I mean flick on the rhythm circuit and both pickups are activated in series with their own volume/tone, for playing solos.

That would be ideal, but is it technically possible?

The CIJ Jaguars don't hum cancel; the neck and bridge pickups are identical (same winding direction, identical output level).

Fender really went cheap-o with those old Jags; even Squires strats get matching pickup sets!
