DMM's are great. There is nothing wrong with them stock. I have one, it sounds great.

I really couldn't care less. Yes it's lame, but I'm not going to have a fight about it.

I'm curious to know what issues you guys have found in the DMM. What do these mods attempt to fix?

I think the major issue that people bang on about is that it clips way too early..... which may or may not be a problem.... that little light certainly has no problem coming on....

But you don't have to be too bright to get a handle on it (I can do it)

Reading that constantly almost put me off investing... I'm glad to fuck it didn't it's a non issue the pedal is a thing of beauty

That said I'm sure some mods are lovely and maybe it would make the pedal tons better, but it's not unusable out the box not at all.

Props to the original poster it sounds like a sweet deal

Nah I do actually like what you say, since you came back from the ban anyway. I don't often agree with it, but you usually explain yourself well enough that I can see where you're coming from. It's interesting to read because I rarely can guess what you're going to say on a subject.

This was my problem, I could do it, but when turned down enough to stop it clipping, it was quieter than my original signal.

I've never had that problem with mine. Maybe I got lucky with how they set the trims. Mine is the True Bypass version.

Mine too. Never mind, I prefer my Behringer Vintage Delay and Vibe pedal double whammy anyhow. Glad I owned a DMM (wanted one for ages) and the above mods (and price) would have made me keep it, but it just didn't do it for me.

Yeah, I was interested in knowing b/c I don't have any issues or complaints with my DMM.

I will say however, I don't use it much except for a little slapback delay (which might be a waste) but I love experiminting sometimes...and then it's pretty handy.

reformed criminal, innit? ;) and i think that's kind my m.o. in IRL times as well. i don't like to box myself into one particular frame of mind or thought process. which causes issues when pondering life and death and serious type 'meaning of life' shit...but for every other issue it means i at least FEEL like i'm not a robot.

anywho-enough about me and my retardations. i've only ever seen DMM in action, never used one. but i liked it.

It's a weird pedal, there is a big-ass learning curve on working out how the sod it works before you can get decent sounds out of it.

The Level and Blend controls in particular flumoxxed me for ages. Mine is in it's box under the wardrobe I'm ashamed to say. The Behringer is on my pedalboard, the DMM I'm holding onto for recording (it was on the In Heaven cover I did with Liz) and possibly cashing in on if they are worth something in 10 years.

I don't think there can be any pedal more difficult to work out than the great destroyer. You think you've got the settings you love then you buy a new guitar, or even just move it around a bit in the pedal chain and it's BACK TO SQUARE ONE.

I love it so.

Having just been through a TDG and DMM session with the Strat I can help but agree. All of a sudden its a trebly fuzz compared to the doom machines it is with the Tele Custom and the Mustang.

James wrote:Most of the communication here is done with text. There are quite a few images and some video, as well as a small amount of off-forum stuff with meetups/phone calls and what have you, but for the most part it's the text that you're communicating with. "New guitar day" is purely lazy and unimaginative. I've nothing against new gear threads and make a fair few myself, it's the fact that most of the threads are made with at least a little excitement on the part of the original poster and if the best way you can express that excitement is with the most tedious harmony central phrase you can find you've no business being involved in any creative aspects of anything. Music or otherwise. I'm not claiming that each of my posts demands a nomination for the noble prize for literature, perhaps only a tenth go that far, but I at least try to make things a little interesting.

There is the obvious option of ignoring threads that feature the NG'd setup, and until now I have. It's increasing and, I think, lowering the overall standard of the forum. It's clearly not a life threatening issue, but it is fucking annoying. There's a reason I don't read other guitar forums (with the exception of the occasional browse of offset) and I'd rather not find those reasons on the one forum I do read.

Nice pedal.
Get over yourself...Sorry I lowered the quality of your forum. My bad.
