I like the Inca or the White, but personally can see this guitar looking hot as in black, if you haven't discarded that.

I'm considering black too. I almost want to do it purple but it would be a bit of a hassle. Purple Sparkle?

one thing worries me slightly, but its probably unfounded, the top horn snapping under its own weight....I imagine this is a silly thought. but it would temp me to strap onto the back of the guitar sg style instead of the top horn.
Interesting. I'll give a thumbs up that idea as well.
I didn't really think about that, but in all honesty, the strap onto the back like the sg is the only reason I don't like sgs, it makes it slide around wayyyy to much

There is an alternative I forgot to include. I'm not sure how well it works but I had years of wanting a jazzmaster in the colour.
Lake Placid Blue

I think that works pretty good. That or the Daphne are winners for me. The Green looked fucking terrible, which I was quite surprised by.

I think that might be a little down to a bad photoshop but I think it's the worst of the options. It's the one I've given the least thought to.
I might try and find other sources of decent paint, but I can't see the options going much beyond standard 60s colours.

if it were me i'd avoid typical fender-y colours like daphne blue and surf green just because the shape is so un-fender. i'd go for either the white or silver. but then if it means more work for you refinishing the mustang...... i dunno.

They make stain in every colour now. I'd get a blue stain and clear coat over it so it will show that wood grain like the old gibson cherry finish. I think that would look hawt on this guitar.

I reckon something like a dark metallic blue/navy would look good, like whatever colour the ship some Jaguars in (might be jag HH's, I'm not sure).
Or, inca silver, with a black/silver paisley guard.
I'll go halfers on this with you if you like. I reckon there'd be enough there, like:

Aye. I;m definitely getting that sheet. I reckon I'll take what I need, then try to sell it on ebay, and if that doesn't work out, I'll give it away on here, if someone else can get use out of what's left.

If I could cut pickguards i'd consider buying the rest, but I can't and I've not got anything specific in mind yet so someone else could probably make better use of it than me.

I've not decided what colour i'm going to paint this, but it's likely I'll be interested in going halves on some.

I can't wait to get it. I think it's the first time in my life I've been excited about having to do sanding.
