Way Huge Swollen Pickle MII

Post by Chicago Mike »

Say, I saw these were going to be reissued by Dunlop.

Anyone ever play one of the originals?

ProGuitar Demo

Sounds pretty awesome....thinking it would sound good through the Bassman.

So good you told us twice!
Sounds fierce, like a more scooped big muff.

The demo is really...nice :) But if I can remember, the original series were more brutal in a indie kind of way...

None of that corporate bullshit like "midrange" or "clarity".

I think they just had no idea what they are doing with the pedal. 7 knobs and the tone they get still sucks.

We have a few on order at the store, and I am still looking forward to trying it.....Kinda.

OK, the swollen pickle fucking rules. The demo person in that clip is a total tool as we've [the guys in the guitar section where i work] have gotten a pile of amazing tones out of it. The midscoop can also be a super midboost when you start fucking with the trimpots.

I like it, a lot. We have a lot of big muffs and clones here, and I personally own:

Sovtek Green Muff
Ram head Muff
Version 3 Big muff Pi [rams head in pi case]
Little Big Muff
USA muff
Black Sovtek Big MUff
Barber Trifecta
Baja Tech Da Moaf
Behringer VD-1

So I have a pretty good idea of what a good muff is supposed to sound like. I'm gonna flip some shit now and get a swollen pickle.

Also the Distortion pedal is great as well.
