nah not really. i've put five springs in the trem, so i can bend and detune without it going outta tune.

the goldtop is king, it's one of very few gibson that are allowed on shortscale meetups lol

I love the sonds, I might have to pick one up sometime.

In the video you said it takes 9v, not 18....is it possible that it could take either like some fulltone pedals do?

Also, the video mainly had spacey droney sounds, but does it also make a good slapback if you roll off the feedbacks?

i think something like that is in the vid, when he mutes the strings and just hits it you get this stuttery short delay, sounds very very warm and muffly though, not the sort of delay i like (cold and digital haha).

Nice one nick, I don't know about the power...but it comes with it's own adapter.

Yes it can be more subtle I will do that for the proper demo the subtle sounds, they don't come across on the old camera phone really.

for my ears (but having in mind that the audio recording on that vid wasnt the best) it is not very similar.
memory man is maybe my favorite pedal and i just love its distinctive sound. i couldnt hear that lush chorusey delay of the DMM there.
the way it oscillates and the way it makes droney sounds when you tweek the time knob is pretty much the same, i wouldnt be able to
tell the difference when you just make noise with it, but when you use some long delay setting the way the signal gets distorted and
colored is not reproduced adequately with the time machine.

DMM owners will notice that the time machine tends to not make the signal muddy too soon, and can keep the repeats going on for quite some time (like digital delays do)
before creating a layer or white noise, which some might consider good, some might consider bad, but surely it works quite different between those
two pedals.

i was hoping i could get one so i could have dmm at studio and behri at home or vice-versa but i'm a bit let down. in any case i am looking forward to hurbs more extensive vid.

I am extremely happy with it! I need to try it with a memory man to compare..although I think sound wise it stands on its own!

plus points

It sounds awesome
its cheap(50 quid is cheap)
it is well made (metal case)
it has trim pots inside incase I wanna tweak

negative
there is a slight loss of treble when it is in your signal (I think) but it is minimal.
the switch gives the slightest click when you press it, if you are playing you wont here it though.

but over all I think it is the best we could of hoped for and I would recommend it to anyone.

It's teh Faux, there's a thread about it in Projects.

Hard for me to comment how close it is to the DMM, it does sound good thought - lolz @ Behringer headphones. Maybe Hurb and A should come up with a list of settings and do A/B's of the same riff and compare them?
