steve vai was in Kyiv last month i think, giving a master class. witnesses report he would also talk to people before and after the show, and seemed a nice guy. and how funny, the audience actually were a dicks, asking idiotic and obvious questions.

Theres plenty of arrogant dicks out there that can barely play, at least Malmsteen has something to be big headed about.
Gilbert seems the most approachable of the bunch though. I dont know if i would class John 5 as a shredder.

john 5 can be but he plays country guitar and other stuff not just shred like malmsteen

i'm not into john 5's music, but to me he's at least fun to watch. i even listened to some of his albums few times.
also, he's got incredible collection of teles.

he dosent give off the country guitar player look at all but his teles are nice ... not into the john 5 line of instruments

Dude can play. Ive grown to apprectiate shredders more. Especially Capp'n Gilbert and Guthrie Govan.

This is one of the songs were Malmsteen uses a lot of stuff i taught him. Lol.
I like this one coz he's using a shit amp and it sounds raw, still fucking amazing..

this is one example of the bass player being just as good as the guitar player but yeah love paul gilbert hes one of the only nice informative shredder not like that tool who taps w/ both hands

I'm realising now why people on youtube used to call me "Like a Fat Paul Gilbert who can't play", he looks like me when I had short hair.

Anyway he comes across as a really nice guy. He uses Vintage/Modern amps these days I believe.
