Lowball 70s MM auction

Post by DGNR8 »

This auction ends in three hours. $300 for a MUSICMASTER would be bitching.

And this is just STRANGE. I think it's been tampered with. Is the number 6 the model number for Mustang? It's a 6 64B. Must be the second coming.

that's just a refinished mustang neck. i don't know where he got the idea that those are clay dots. they look just like mid-'60s fender fake pearl to me.
the stamp should be "16" and probably is, just the 1 got worn off or something. they probably didn't have a mustang decal, so they just stuck a strat one on there, cut off the strat part, and stuck it on the back there.
i can't believe the bidding is up as high as it is.

and shame on you for showing me that musicmaster. i have the cash and do want, but i should not be buying more guitars. i still have to pay for my next semester of school.
i'm not sure what's up with that orange peel, though. was fender really passing these things through like that back then?

I'm gonna say everything I sell in the future is a vintage strat so the rich white man blues players will overpay me for it. GOD DAMN THAT ISN'T A 64.

that MM is awesome! Too bad it got snatched up already!

Actually it's probably for the best.. I would have been tempted to buy it to have a matching guitar to my '78 MM bass... and I really don't need to spend any money right now.
