24" conversion neck?

Post by punch »

Does such a thing exist? Has anyone here tried converting a 25.5 to a shortscale? I heard you can convert the MIM duo sonics into 25.5 without moving the bridge, does that mean I could take a 22.5 duo neck and put it on a long scale body? Thanks.

The 24" and 22.5" scale necks of vintage mustangs, duo-sonics and musicmasters are interchangeable (which means the vintage 22.5" necks will also fit on the modern bodies, I only say vintage because they no longer make the 22.5"). I don't know about the MIM duos, but as far as I'm aware everything else isn't.

The 24" necks of other things (jag-stangs, jaguars, broncos etc) will also go with those others.

It works with later Jagmasters because they use conversion necks but nothing else as far as i know.
