cool find

Post by Mo Law-ka »

i was at school tonight helping out with band. in the storage room, there was a bass that looked incredibly like this guitar, but with 2 less strings.

i asked my band director if there was any way i could have it, and he said: "keep bugging me about it, and ill see what i can do."

so, i'm hoping that my insistent nagging does pay off cuz this thing is awesome.

anybody have any experience with univoxes?

yea I bought one just like that about a month ago on craigslist. It's a pretty cool guitar, I really like it. It's way lighter than I was expecting, and is very comfortable to play. I want to find a good replacement bridge for mine though, cause when I strum hard the strings pop off the saddles... mostly just the low E string.

Other than that it sounds awesome... I know that the p90's in these aren't too well-revered, but I really like the way that they sound... it gets a cool, cheap indie rock kinda sound.

oh man. thats sorta how we got ours, but change band director with super awesome shortscale dude. Univox basses are the gift that keeps on giving. The necks on these feel great and they're loud as hell.

They are light, like toys, but that's not a bad thing. They look tray coolio and have those fat pups.
