my guitar center back home near my parents have this thing listed as a Guild S60DS ?

i googled that guitar number and came up with a shitload of nothing.
what the fuck is this thing?
they only want 499 for it. thats fucking cheap for any kind of old guild

it's definitely a variation of Guild's S*** line.
Probably from the early eighties. You're right, considering what old solidbody guilds are going for these days,
499 is probably a good bet, provided everything is where it should be.

You get more hits, if you drop the 's' at the end of the model number.
Otherwise, I just turn up hits for nintendo DS's

a dude i know who plays in a band called el guapo stuntteam has a guild bass like that

Come to think of it, I came across something like these (not sure what model) a long time ago, at a used instrument shop. It played friggen nice, too. Was too expensive for me, at the time.

The guitarist from my old band back in the late 70's early 80's played a guitar verysimilar/same Guild.I thought it sounded shite through some big ass Peavy amp he had.He didn't use any effects.

My buddy Jay that played in my band had the bass version. From what I remember it was nice and punchy sounding.
Sadly it was stolen a few years ago in NYC.
