this guitarstore had a righty Gibson Les Paul Custom Alpine White on order for some guy, for like two years, the thing finally arrived and it's a lefty (?! eh)
apparantly it can't be ordered lefty so they assume there's been a mixup and it's custom made for some american musician ?

i don't know if it's real, the store is kinda stalkerish like the type place that sends you texts when it's your birthday or passes to be able to enter the store one hour before opening when there's sales etc.

not that i'm interested because i'm not the darkness and i don't have the money but i wonder if it's real or just some stupid stunt to get the damn thing sold, i don't know much about gibson's production, i know they're not lefty friendly and this finish is kinda rare in lefty etc

yeah i know, it's not a lefty shop, last time i went there (i avoid the place ) they had only three lefty guitars and the place is huuuge. maybe it's a mirror type effect ? lol maybe it's all mirrored and it's just to get you to go to the store hahaha

i see a righty jazzy in the back, from what i remember that jazzy is in the 'offset' section of the store so maybe they made a new lefty corner. lots of gibson too,.... too much

That guy with the paul smiles like he's trying to lure kids into his van. "Heey! You guys like baseball cards?"

hmmm, well, the evidence in the picture seems to back up the fact that it's a real picture and not flipped. he's holding it like a righty would. he wears his watch on his left hand meaning he is a righty. the text on his shirt is not flipped and more convincingly the logo on the headstock is not flipped. also, the watch pocket on men's jeans is in the on the right. you can see his left pocket and there is no watch pocket which is consistent with the image not being flipped.

EDIT: also, the text on the signs in the background of the first and second image are not flipped.

All the background signs are still flipped. I suppose the only way to be sure is to email gibson about it?

I could fix that if I could be arsed. In fact, just blur them out a little bit. I'm not even saying it is flipped, I just thought it would be fun to see how well it could be done with such a simple picture.

seems to be a lot of lefty guitars behind him, and one regular jazzmaster with a natural finish

yea, the shirt text is easy but the headstock logo doesn't look right, it's not at the right angle. etc, etc... to do a true flip job it would take a lot of time/effort, it really wouldn't be worth it. also, look at the mesa amp cover in the background of the second picture, there's a lot of little shit like that. they're real pictures.

i might go when i have some time just to hang around, their stuff is way overpriced and when you walk into the guitar and drums department it's stupid, you have to go through this short dark tunnel and there's a strobo and a star wars trooper and a piano that's hanging above you, and LOUD star wars music, lol it's ridiculous, people with epilepsy can't enter that department. if i have time to go i'll try to take pics, but i'm not sure if i will bother going there

it's really not that great, sometimes they have some cool stuff, they've lots of acoustics (the section is underneath the roof) but i don't like megastores, it's nothing compared to the ones in germany like musicstore in köln or thomann.

+1, also the little american flag on the protective plastic over the strat pickguard in the background... tiny and barely visible, you have to wonder if he'd have really put that much effort into a scam... and then also include a picture of himself grinning like an idiot, standing in his shop. Not a good business model, we can at least say that.
