Know anything about Fernandes Stratocasters?
I saw a Made in Japan Fernandes Stratocaster at my local store. They want $320 for it(comes with a nice padded gigbag). It is in excellent almost new condtion (9.9) It has a sparkly gold finish and gold hardware and looks pretty spectacular. It looks like a copy of a Fender 62 Stratocaster.I think it was made around 1990.Anyone know any thing about these guitars? Any info would be appreciated.

This one looks like Bob Dylan's Gold Lame Strat(except it has gold hardware):
1962 Fender Stratocaster
"Bob Dylan's gold lame Strat. ohsc/ex
Previously owned by Bob Dylan, and sent by him in 1991 via the late Cesar Diaz, the famous amplifier builder who also played in Bob's band in the early 90's, to Fender for the gold sparkle finish. Comes with a copy of the original Fender work order via John Grunder of the Fender Custom Shop, addressed to "Cesar Diaz c/o Bob Dylan", and stating serial number of the guitar, with "Refinish to gold sparkle per Bob's specification". Also comes with letter signed by Cesar Diaz on his stationery stating that the guitar, by serial number, belonged to and was given to him by Bob Dylan. Has original 1962 brown Tolex hard shell case
Price: $ 75,000.00"

A friend of mine owns one in sunburst. Should be same period. it's definitely a fine guitar, not highclass but nothing wrong with it. I would say it's quality is even better than that of many current mexican Fenders. Well built, no feedback or intonation problems. But not as good as japanese or US Fenders.

Nice link, i must have had an 85-86 'Revival' model. I'm surprised, it was in good nick for its age.westtexasred wrote:Check out the link below:Fran wrote:Looking good, i could've sworn the headstock on mine was more Fenderish shape, maybe they made them change it.

No,I'm not going to change the neck.I like this neck. It's pretty much like the neck on a 62 RI(except for the headstock).Fran wrote:Nice link, i must have had an 85-86 'Revival' model. No I still have them.Nick wrote:That actually looks like one of the most well rounded guitar collections I've seen you have. I'm assuming it won't stay that way though
Did those other 2 rics disappear overnight?
