Toastrcaster Mod
I'm considering putting the trem back into operation on this. Was curious if any of you have one with the american trem and is it better/considered better than the standard trem.Drilling the post holes is not a problem.
Comments?..Thanx
I wouldn't bother as that'd be plenty of spending/modding for little point. Though on an aesthetic level, if you can get a polished-steel looking one like Squier used on their standards a couple years back, that'd look swiggity sweet.

the difference that's immediately apparent between the USA trem and the import model trems is the string spacing (and the spacing of the actual screws). it would be very difficult/pointless to replace an import trem with a USA trem since you would have to re-drill the holes for the trem. the major benefit to the USA trem is the massive steel block it uses instead of the cheapy zinc block that's used on import models. the best way to replace it would be to get a GFS trem. they're the only ones that make a steel block that fits an import trem.
