I found this pair of mustangs cruising eBay.
Aside from giving it the wrong color in the description it's still awesome.

I have been trying to justify buying those for the past 2 days. For the first time ever I had to talk to my wife about buying guitars and she says we can swing the cash if I really want to. It's funny though, I'm being the rational one and telling myself that I don't need them even with the ok from her. I want them purely for the sake of wanting. It's driving me nuts.

that's actually how fender listed it on their colour chart at the time, even though it's clearly lake placid blue (and in the particular case of those ones on ebay, a thick clearcoat darkening with age at the edges)

Well, I've slept on it for another day and I think I'm gonna resist the temptation (which is not something I do often). A few months ago I started saving towards a muscle car for next summer and these guitars would put a pretty big dent in the car savings.
That being said......I still want them.

Sure thing Robert....for the low price of $4,000 :]
I almost forgot I have that guitar. It's been in a case for months with the strings cranked on it to correct the top bow. I should check on it tonight and see how it's doing.
Thanks for reminding me.
