I had no idea this was going on, but a little searching revealed they've been doing this for over 2 years now: Korean-made Indie guitars seems to be well established enough to not try something like this, but I'm curious if any of you in ol' Blighty have seen 'em, as I believe they're only available in the UK at the moment. All local online shopping malls here in Korea just have pics and nothing more. No lawsuit to be spoken of, but the Korean homepage does say that any of the massive export-only selection they can be made available locally with a 3 month wait.
£399 seems like way too much, despite sweet curves for cheap thrills.
A guitar store near me has one every now and then, so they are finding their way into the Netherlands. They look pretty good in real life, though I haven´t played one yet. Plus I imagine you´d get super scene points for the brand name.
I checked the Indie website and while they have a US/Canada site (apparently a recent occurrence), there's no sign of the Ric copy bass or guitar on either site.

John C. Hall is gonna storm through these people's doors in the middle of the night, slap their kids, chump them in front of their spouses, and kick their pets.
Rickenbacker doesn't fuck around with copies.
