japan mustangs don't come in surf green, they never did come in surf green.
this is shortscale.org. these guitars are our life. we have put more time into researching them then any other place on the internet, including fender.com because frankly they have thier own head up thier ass with thier website color chart. we know everything about them. you have to trust us. we are here to help you

this is my sonic blue musicmaster from 1997. perfect example of how sonic blue can yellow under the right conditions.

here it is next to my sonic blue jagstang. both are sonic blue

your guitar might be green as a tree under that sunburst, but its still sonic blue.

We have at least one other Filipino (USA) on the board. The Pixies guitarist Joey Santiago should be a national hero.

Welcome to the boards!

Are we really sure that the Japanese '69's never came in Surf Green? They've been making them for almost twenty years, and in Japan they've released them in just about every colour imaginable over the years. It could be a domestic model that made its way out of Japan.

I kinda like the weird redburst. Reminds me of the burst on old Teiscos. Whatever colour it is (or will be), for the price that's an incredible score!

I've yet to see a surf green mustang myself but sand it down and see if a faded sonic blue comes out

Is that Johnny Ramone an Eastwood? I've wanted one of those for a long time but I've only heard bad reviews of the Eastwoods.

Wow, that looks beautiful in photos, hard to believe someone refinished it cheap-60s-guitar-glo right over that.

So is the sonic blue like a dull matte finish in person?

hey, that looks really good. if you want it to be shiny again you could just take some 1500 and 2000 to it and then use a bit of polish.

Doesn't look like it, it doesn't have a goofy string bar, that for some reason Eastwood put on their model. or a minibucker for that matter.
