Fender RI's
In a way im so sick of going to a music store and seeing a wall if strats and tele's.
Fender should really consider reissuing guitars that havent been seen in a while like the:
Electric XII the strat xii in my opinion sucked but the original rocked they should remake this.
The Coronado line: great guitars didnt last long enough they need to make a new set of these.
This goes against what i said earlier but: The Esquire a 50's esquire just isnt enough they should add a few more.
any more fender should bring back and anyone whos ever contacted fender is it possible to get these reissued?

In fairness, the Coronado is completely unsuited to most modern music due to it being hollow and having extremely poor pickups. There's quite a few vintage examples still around, not much demand, and they're not massively expensive.
The Starcaster, however, is a hideous piece of seventies brainwrong. It's incredibly ugly, and has only gained cache in the last few years due to that greenwood douche. To tool-up to make this weird offset semi would not be practical for Fender, the pickups are no longer made, and I'm sure if they were in every Guitar Center people would realise they don't sound that great.

yeah they used to be real creative with design in a very small way with teh tornado and the cyclone but anymore there just about the strats im so sick of themDuoSonicBoy wrote:Fender is kindof going down the crapper in general; you pay more and more for less and less. Squier is the one bright spot, but I don't think they're tooled up to make anything really cool.

squier had that cool duo sonic out there and there vintage modified (good p bass).
i wish there was a way to get fender to reissue all the old/good fenders and no more of this strat disease.
hell yeah coronado's kick assDuoSonicBoy wrote:Fix'dtimhulio wrote:In fairness, the Coronado is completely suited to most modern music due to it being hollow and having extremely awesome pickups. I imagine if they did reissue them, they'd come with the RI WR pickups, which aren't bad.timhulio wrote:The Starcaster, however, is a hideous piece of seventies brainwrong. Plus I think the starcaster looks amazing. I wouldn't be after a reissue but I really like it.
I have to admit I sometimes think it's ugly. It does look very nice in black though.Zaphod wrote:I imagine if they did reissue them, they'd come with the RI WR pickups, which aren't bad.timhulio wrote:The Starcaster, however, is a hideous piece of seventies brainwrong. I played one in Denmark St and was a bit underwhelmed. The neck felt like a modern Tele Deluxe type neck. Not a bad thing but not what I'd be payin the big vintage fender bucks for. I played a Coronado II on the same day and wanted to take it home with me.
Shabba.
yeah coronado II's are really good even if they feedback like hellJames wrote:I have to admit I sometimes think it's ugly. im not a fan of the strat thing either, but thats just me. I think that the stratocaster is a great design and has a great place in the history of guitar design, but its a 50+ year old design and fender has not been able to match it(cept the jaggie baby so pretty)
it would be nice if they took the focus off of the sig series strats for a couple months and tried to create something new, like the t-90 or whatever, the semi hollow double cut with p-90's that was a pretty cool design but i never got to play one so i have no idea what they are actually like.
