Shamelessly pilfered from Offset, but thought there are a few here who would like to see it (hello Euan):

I spotted the Green Matamp there. Wonder why the Orange was being used instead.

By the look of it not. Shame. I will always identify the BMP with their early sound.

they always were. They were actually only given out to Journos when Rock Action was being reviewed.

i'm sure the shop had stuck a £100 price tag on it, it was a few years ago obviously. if i saw one now i'd pick it up quicksmart.
there's a guy
here who made one, i notice someone's asked him for the schematic (not sure what the differences were- i gather it wasn't purely cosmetic)
fuck me, one sold this month on
ebay for £255! wish i'd bought that other one.

I can definately hear some Fabtone in their early sound...
Their setup NEAR as impressive when I saw em 4 years ago. Still amazing though.

i really want to get rid of my memory man, and get a deluxe. i actually lost some cred for them when he showed off the dano fab tone distortion, i have messed with two of those pedals and i HATE them.
they are complete and utter SHIT! i don't see how anyone can actually like that pedal and if someone on this board uses one and wants to bring "science" as to why they use it i will fucking break knee caps.
needless to say, that is the most worthless peice of crap pedal ever made.
/end rant.

The Fabtone is okay, if wayyy overgained and trebly. Bear in mind Mogwai are a WALL-O-SOUND kinda band, it probably suits them.
