...It's so hard for me to care about that thing. lol.
It cures quite a few of the Telecaster Uglies by eliminating the body shape, but clearly Custom Shop is eons behind Shortscale in terms of "what if I combine _____ with _______" possibilities. I'm sure it sounds alright, however.
Needs a Bigsby bridge/plate, Jag trem.

Re: Telemaster
I think the output jack is in a pretty awful spot. I would not want to sit on the ground/couch and play that thing plugged in.benecol wrote:

...Only the AV/Vintage models are comfortable, they screwed up the contouring on CIJ reissues, making them only about strat comfortable... But yeah, an AV Jag is one of the most comfortable guitars everAeon wrote:Using a right angle cable connection nullifies this perceived problem. Jazzmaster/Jaguar is the most comfortable guitar shape, sitting or standing.

Anyway, there's no problem with the jack that isn't present on a normal Tele (owner of the stupidest jack design in guitar history, with worse engineering and forethought than any obscure Fender part you can mention).

Often the right angled end won't fit because of the recessed jack. I know how comfortable the Jazzy shape is, I've got my friend's sitting not 10 feet from me. I also know of the problems that come with the Tele's jack issues - my Tele is withing arm's reach. I'm just saying that putting it on the end there was a bad choice. Even with a right angle jack that fits, it would look silly with the cord coming out of there.Aeon wrote:Using a right angle cable connection nullifies this perceived problem. It would been cool to see a Malikcaster style Strat jack on there.
