That is very cheap. Had I not bought my MIM Jaguar I would be interested in that.

He's clearly a dick, but he's a dick with a guitar you want.

No, that's me done.

We're having an email chat about it though.
Ebay Seller wrote:Thanks for email Mike - i was offered £1600 for the guitar on a previous listing. That would be my bottom line.
£1000 is nowhere near i'm afraid.

Best wishes,
Mike wrote: Fair enough.

Good luck
Ebay Seller wrote: No probs Mike,
early 70s Tele's, Strat's are making £2000 - £2500. It has to be cheap for an original 60s model.

Best wishes
Mike wrote: The Jaguar is an idosyncratic guitar though and has more of a niche following, however. Stratocasters and Telecasters will always command much more on the used market. It looks like a fine instrument though which is why I was interested, however I can't stretch to the amount you're looking for in the current financial climate.

*emails seller pretending to be Mike with offer of £1300*

DO IT NOW BEFORE YOU BREED - take the one, tiny piece of advice I can offer. I'll even buy that ultra-Rat* to help out.

* if my wife lets me, once the Matamp arrives.

Great condition. That burst looks faux with a white primer or is it just the picture. I thought they only applied that method in the 70s.

haha.. you're a gent. But I can only afford to get it if I get a kick-ass deal on it. I'm hoping the crunch bites, he doesn't sell it and eventually emails me back about it. I can wait all my life. The RAT has no room for battery power so I think that would upset you... I might whack it in classifieds in a couple of weeks

i saw a '68 b&b jag on ebay canada recently sitting at more or less that price. maybe (although unlikely) stuff in that price bracket is slowing down a bit...

but i think if you're happy with the classic player mike you should maybe just forget about this one. another will turn up if it's meant to be.

hoi you, i'm trying to be sensible here!

(although i'd be swaying towards selling internal organs on the black market to get it, ordinarily)

i know i have seen the primer burst at least a couple times on later 60's models, and i think more often on the mid 70's jags.
altho on the same page i see more custom color jags in the later 60's than pre 64.

Unless you have an endless supply of cash I think you could have just as much fun with your MIM, if not more. I think the MIM suits your playing style perfectly too...

That's why I enjoy the MIJ Jag so much... you can use it without fear of some numpty knocking it over and mod it to your hearts content... the 61 Jazzy I have just sits in its case for this reason... what fun is that ?

Having said that, it would be a nice investment...
