It's just a generic JFET booster. The volume alters the gain instead of attenuating the full output, so it's gonna have a pretty low noise floor. It's probably a bit more clean and high-fi then the saltbooster (LPB).

Other then that, nothing extraordinary.

The Saltbooster is not the LPB. It has secret Hobo Spices.
