ROebrt OG/Aen JM does not fit in suitcase!

Post by aen »

Allright, i dont know if these pics are going to face the right way, becasue my fucking hard drive shit the bed on my real computer and Im using the "living dead" one so Photobucket doesnt seem tobe too happy with me.

ANYWAY.

Image

RobOG body and pickguard. Robert made me a special "supalight" body. Basswood wiht a swimming pool route.

Image

Worn OD finish for that "Cabins at Camp LUcerne" look. I didnt clear coat it. So ina year or so, when it looks really tore up, I'l eiher refinish it, or clear coat it.

The trem is AVRI, mustang bridge from GPR and also buzz stop, to facilitate total freakouts without string poppage.

Image
HWY 1 neck, which cost me a shit ton of pedals. Kind of wish I had gone with a less expensive neck, but oh well, it plays nice.

Image

I wired my first functional tone pot! Except it goes backwards. But for my playing style, I might as well have a toggle.

Image

um, heres the back of it. the wear doesnt look natural. Darn.

Also, I wired the toggle backwards, ON PURPOSE. This is so when I am freaking out, I dont accidentaly switch over to the bridge pickup and get all nasally and lose my BAWLS.

In summation, it feels really good, Im getting used to a JM again.

SOn approves, makes rockface.

witch hats would be cool too, but ive been drooling over this lately and really liking the black guard/ white strat knobs white pups for some reason.

Image

that might be the scheme i go with when i finally get a jazzy of my own.

i just noticed, those are like white gibson bell knobs. weird.

or maybe they are just really really worn. like the guy just couldnt find the right volume or amount of high end response, night after night.

Oh man that thing is amazing! I love the big 70's headstock! Is it a big chunky 70's strat neck reissue like on a Tele Deluxe or a wimpy normal 60'sish neck? Anyway nice project and the finish looks cool.

Well thats the same one as the last jazzmaster, just a new body, because the old one weighed 350 pounds. I also flipped that Jagmaster tootsweet.

What I got:

White 50's Tele "Old faithfull"
Black tele custom II "The Beast"
Camp Lucerne Jazzmaster
Thundercats

Project/unfinished Tele custom

and waiting for one of my kids: Yellow Duosonic RI with internal fuzz installed.
