the price Danelectro prints on the ads is usually list price. I'm guessing these will be $299 at the highest.

Masonite panels glued to either a poplar or pine frame. Some sites say it's stapled, but that's total BS as you can see glue when you take them apart.

They're bloody brilliant guitars. The newer reissues felt a bit too much like a "proper" guitar in regards to the weight and build quality, but I guess that's to make them appealing to non-fans. But these new ones should be solid bodies as they're reissues of the Coral Hornet (I think, can't really remember).

Its easy to put contours on MDF or Ply bodies, as long as you dont go for transparent finishes your fine.
But when specifications state 'solid body' you expect alder, ash... or at the very least agathis or basswood.
