Either way, I'm sure there's reasons they didn't badge it as a "Coral"...probably either because they don't have the rights to the brand name any more or because Danelectro is a household name, and it would take way more advertising than they could afford to convince enough people to buy a guitar they haven't heard of.
You should be happy they not only brought back the general body shape, gave it a wooden bridge, as many cool finishes as they did, gave it lipstick pickups and used a cool looking headstock.
I only wish they reissued the Hagstroms HALF as trew to the originals as these are.
