If they weren't gold and it had a proper guard on it and if someone took the time to fucking paint it, then it'd be cool, yeah.

Isn't the tort a different style of tort, rather than a bad version of standard tort? It looks like those tortoiseshell or horn finishes which are sort of golden and have markings floating inside them. Like this:
I kind've like it. But gold Filtertrons are pretty gross, and walnut is for Jazzmasters.
