ok, this may sound noobish but...
if i ran my bassmanhead into a couple pedals and then into the cab would it damage the head or the pedals?
i figured i would ask first just incase.
Not sure of the exact science, but pedals are not meant to handle a amplified signal. I am sure it will mess up one of, if not all three.. (amp, pedal, speaker)
They say great minds think alike....Sometimes we do too...
I wouldn't do it. Pedals aren't supposed to go after the power amp, at that point it's a different type of signal and stuff, so processing it then is a no no. FX loop will let you put effects in between the pre amp and power amp though (you probably knew this already, but hey).
yeah, kinda what i figured, i just thought it would be cool to see what kinda sounds i could get from it.
i hate effects loops, i never think they sound as good and it takes 1 extra cable to run from stage to amp.

Would a THD hotplate allow for any sort of fucking about, I wonder.

the only way(that makes any sort of sense in my head is making a volume pot/limiter after the amp head so that way it does kill the pedals, but that would in tern kill the amp head power.
