Over door guitar hanger?

Post by Sloan »

Hey,
does anyone know if there's an over door guitar hanger?

Something like this for like one guitar or something?

I'm trying to figure out if I can easily construct one, I probably could, but would like to find a manufactured version.
Problem is, I can't put anything on the walls here, shit's gheay!!!

When you open a door wouldn't your guitar go flying into a wall. You'd need to have it on a door you don't open, or make sure the length of your doorstop was longer than the thickness of your guitar.

The whole idea makes me nervous.

I'm gonna put it on my closet door, I probably will just keep it open all the time. If I could put stuff into the walls and shit, this would be EASY!

yea, I can't put holes in the wall either. I would just use a stand. if you want it up high to display your guitar like; you could put the stand on a shelf or dresser maybe?

also there is this thing:

You could use a standard hanger if you are prepared to screw into the door?

i'm not understanding how this works at all. how is this guitar "hanging" and what is acyually keeping it from crashing to the ground?

Having that to hang my guitars would just make me extremely paranoid about dropping it.

Obviously, this should be the FIRST OFFICIAL SHORTSCALE.ORG GUITAR ACCESSORY.

We'll get Roachello to design it badass.

Here are reasons why I want one:

1. I can't SCREW anything into anything
2. Guitar stands take up SPACE, are CLUMSY, and EXPENSIVE
3. The space behind doors is a great place for a guitar to CHILL
4. RIFFZ

is it a physical reason, or like, a restriction in your lease?

most wall surfaces have compatible anchors for mounting things, is why.

also, those blue desk hangar things are ridiculous. c'mon.

It's mostly a lease thing, but I thought it would be awesome to find guitar door hangers. WHY THEY AIN'T EXISTIN'??/!!!

I'm probably gonna have to make some. If I do, I'll do like a HOW TO. with pictars!

im sure i can be proven wrong. i just think hanging a guitar up high on something that swings back and forth is asking for it.

as you said , its a low traffic door, so its probably OK. it would just worry the fuck out of me personally.

itll be interesting to see how it turns out!

I'll see if I can get something together since these seem to NOT EXIST.

If anyone finds anything, let me know!
