No way - you let the V bit stradle yr right thigh. Then you prop yr left leg up on a stool rung or a classical footrest; the little rubber bit on the V's lower bout keeps it from sliding off. IT'S THE MOST COMFORTABLE THING EVER. The first time I tried it I ended up playing for 90 minutes because I was so amazed. The upper wing kept my right arm in the perfect position for fingerstyle so I could keep my wrist really relaxed and play a lot faster.
Imagine a shaggy haired 20-something with ripped up jeans and a flannel shirt, holding a flying V plugged into a Line 6 half stack at Best Buy. PLAYING JAZZ. That was me for an hour and a half.
This will be the year of the Hornet for me as well.
Also, if I can track one down for cheapsies, a blue sparkle Super Sonic in which to drop some bucker sized P-90's.
