Peavey Stereo Chorus 400 [Mega Craigslist SNATCHUP]

Woahow.
I SNATCHED this this mega deal last night. This is a huge balls 200w solid state amplifier, but it's really like two amps in one. There are two 12" SCORPION speakers and each power section goes to one speaker. You can plug a completely different instrument in the 2nd channel input and use that whole amp section for it, like if you want to play gay keyboards with ur riffz.

I didn't even really care if the amp worked at the price I got it at, I just wanted a 2x12 to load my heads so i can use speaker emulation to PRACTICE MA RIFFZ.

I sounds basically like all of the old Peavey solid state stuff, not really all too good unless your going for a FAGGOT JAZZ CLEAN SOND. Perhaps I can take the amp shit out and load in a tube amp of my choosing and finally have a tube combo again. Then I might be able to use the solid state stuff for some small PA amp or shit like that.

the rehearsal room i use has one of these, which i think is from the same sort of range-

it sounds like absolute death.

it'd be nice to see what you can do with the big version though. they're pretty sturdy if nothing else.

if i ever walked into a bar, and one of the guys in the band had that amp on stage i would walk out before they ever even played.

I was going to reply to that saying Rob was being a stuck up gear snob, but then i thought about it and if I didn't know the band I would probably do the same.

My last band used one of these for a bass amp:

But at least I still had my 1970 Fender Twin up there to counter it. Turnouts were good.

Quite a few older guys around here gig with Bandit 65s - I had one for a while. Took pedals pretty well, but the cleans were really, really boring.

I still sortof want a Roland JC-120

The first thing I thought was that they were going for the clean Roalnd 120 crowd with this or something. it seems like it would be good with pedalz, but i haven't really got to test it out yet. shit is definitely loud as fuuuuuuu
