I'll wait for some demos on this one, if it's decent I'll probably make the switch.

I reckon that cab in the first pic is one of the open-backed 2x12s which are a lot less wide than the regular 2x12s or 4x12s.

I reckon its almost twice as big. I'm guessing the knobs are the same size, and there are double as many.

PreOrder it HERE
Pre-Order for £449.99 . I think Mike already mentioned the price.
30 / 15 / 7 watts !!!

It's about 5 inches wider, if that by the looks of it. There are three extra knobs, that's it. The old knobs and switches have been moved closer together.

Edit: Actually, I'm pretty sure it's only about 8cm wider. I counted the vents on the picture, and it's got 55 as opposed to 47. The 8 additional vents adds about 6cm, and if you add an extra 1cm for the slightly wider gap at each end, that's a fair estimate I'd say. I don't see why they'd change the size of the vents on top if the chassis is near identical.

You see, it's this sort of borderline autistic attention to detail that makes me deeply glad you're posting here again.

And that's really not meant to be nasty or sarcastic.

See I look at that and think I should have thought about that.

Nice one.

I'm flattered, I hadn't really noticed that.

They're making so many different ones, that I'm sure I'll end up getting one used, some day. It's like throwing shit against the tide at this point.

They'll definitely be cheap second hand when the new ones drop. Cool amps, I love mine.

That's the thing they're gonna be a good value to have. Is it the best amp, no. Is it what I would call the Orange sound, no. But they're gonna be a good tube amp for cheap.

I agree, I wouldn't say it sounds anything like an Orange, it sounds like what it is - a Vox AC15 with another gain stage, which is not without charm.

I got my TT 2nd hand. It was in perfect condition, unfortunately didn't have the original box though. It was £215. This was over a year ago when they were fairly new as well, they must be going cheaper now.

I think I got mine second hand with all the trimmings, but seeing as it was mint and one of the originals from whatever country everyone says is better, I got a good deal I suppose. I'm sure that'll be a bonus selling point, no matter how much it makes cringe.

Spoke to my mate at Mansons tonight, who was at NAMM - he played the DT and said it sounded great.
Channel 1 - Classic TT
Channel 2 - sounded more like a Rockerverb apparently.
Intriguing...

Mike wrote:In England it's incredible value at £299, given that usually we pay pound for dollar even on British amplifiers.

The US market has a lot more competition around that price point, the Egnater Rebel 20 is something I would be definitely interested in if I was living there - they have no distribution here. The Blackstar HT-5 just came out over here at £249 for a 5 Watt 2 channel head or £349 for a head and 2x10"s. If I didn't have a TT already I would buy that since it sounds immense. I love my Tiny Terror though, several years of faithful service as my practise/recording amp, always comes to gigs as a backup head and never a problem it's really solidly built.
for some ODD reason, someone on the Atlanta Craigslist wants to trade their Tiny Terror for an Egnater Rebel 20???
