I guess two jacks is the best thing to do, you'd want your low notes and your high notes coming out of different amp holes, but I wouldn't want one lead coming out of the top and one out of the bottom, that's for sure. Maybe a stereo cable type affair with two heads coming out of the other end.

I'd have a switch to go between the bass and guitar sides, and a box to step on when I wanted to switch amps.

I think I know the seller you are talking about. He usually has some SG's or Les Pauls floating around ebay/craigslist for sale and he is based in SO Cal.
He is one of the strangest dudes you will ever meet..... (way too much acid in the sixties...)
They say great minds think alike....Sometimes we do too...
Strip off those wooden plates, paint it, and put on a real MOT pickguard and that thing would be hot as BAWLS. Paint it orange with a mother racing stripe.

+1, it's the wooden plates that are throwing me off, too. One of my favorite parts of the mustang look is it's funky pickguard. It's just not the same without it.

Thumbrest for the Bass.
The guitar looks like a piece of furniture to me.
The colour is wrong, the ornaments are ugly and above all gold tuners are too Las Vegas.
It needs a pretty colour and it must look more funky than this.
Ditch the wooden plates and add a hybrid pickguard with mustang guitar top and mustang bass bottom and we're tawkin'. I like that someone actually thought to make/have made an all-mustang guitar/bass doubleneck back then.
Almost all of the plates look disturbing (the shape of the top horn one is actually kinda cool, except where it's bumming the pickup rings), and the thumbrest is just lazy.
