I want one since the day I saw the video on youtube.
And I still haven't got 50 posts
Given that I've just joined, I thought this thread would be best to start in.
First became aware of Shortscale after seeing a couple of videos, one was Mike's demo of the CP Janguar, and the other was the Behringer construction test video. Then I proceeded to watch pretty much all the others. Great stuff.

Haha, don't have much gear atm. I've just come back to playing after a ten year hiatus. Stopped playing when I left for university, and only recently have found the time/money to get back into it. All my old stuff was sold, although it didn't amount to much (a Squier strat, a weird Westfield Les Paul copy that had in-built multi-fx, and a cheapo classical guitar).BacchusPaul wrote:Welcome to the boards.
Post pictures of all your stuff. We like that sort of thing.
This is my current one, an Epiphone Sheraton (bargain at £325 with hard case from Peter Cook's; well recommended if you're in the market for a slim archtop).
Saturday will likely be a day for a new guitar. I'm thinking of either getting a strat or a tele. Whether it's a classic player or a USA standard will all depend on how I feel when I look at my bank balance after getting paid tomorrow. I know eveyone raves about the value for money on the classic players, but I'm not a massive fan of the artificial aging stuff, and I reckon a USA standard will keep its value much better.

welcome msteuk, welcome to many late nights posting
+1 baja tele. excellent guitar. i plan to nick mikes at the next doogfest, mike will never tell the difference between the baja and a squire bullet
i own the classic player 60's strat, i love it to pieces. to be honest MIM are able to make really good guitars at around half the price of their MIA counterparts.

to be honest, unless i had the money to get an MIA , I'm happy to play MIM. can't see the point in paying extra, unless is was something really special.

That's probably because I'm a loudmouth tosspot regardless of my sobriety level.
I just noticed your signature, fantastic. That's Bill Bailey isn't it?

Road Trip to Glasgow? That's a mission and a half, I'd sooner get the train if I was going to Scotland
BTW Paul - that's insane, you silly sod. You should have been all over that.
