Been looking for another Mustang for a while after getting old of LRCs orange beasty, but refuse to pay the over inflated eVilbay prices. So....
I bought this body and body parts off paul_ray and it arrived today. Its a beauty, the pics dont do the yellowy-white justice. Just spent 2 hours wiring it all up from scratch and i borrowed dots old 70's Bronco neck off my JS project to get this one up and running.
It plays and sounds great, the 70s neck gives it some mojo feel although youse purists on here wont like the bone nut and Grovers

Yeah, thats the reason behind the purchase. Were'nt we on about this the other week? I cant settle on stage with expensive/vintage/collectable guitars, its like you know there is an investment factor involved at the back of your mind. Maybe if i was in a static blues band or something that played to mature audiences at good venues i would use the Vintagez.

Frankly, I think the the pictures do indeed do the yellowy-white justice, it looks boo-tiful.
The eternal search for a reasonably priced Mustang was exactly the reason I gave up and bought my much adored Bronco; seems the search pays some dividends!

Wuss. YOu ain't as tough as I thought, I ain't skeered of you anymore.
I notice on yours the bridge pickup is higher than the neck pickup. On mine the neck pickup is higher, resulting in it being quite a bit louder. How do i make them the same?
the bridge pup on my new '76 mustang is way higher, the screw is rusted and won't turn though so i've gotta get the pickguard off next time i'm home. it's high enough that i can't get a decent low action without it hitting the strings past the 12th fret.

thanks, i will change it next time i change strings or something.
