Kent Armstrong Pickups

Post by DanHeron »

Any good? I was searching for Hot Rails and found them on eBay:

Kent Armstrong Rails Mini Humbucker

Almost half the price of a SD Hot rails...

I've bought and played the standard PAF(PAF PLUS), P90(S90), and Hot Tele(TCHR-1) pickup in our guitars, being the only locally wound p'up line that is both decently made & affordable. Speaking of affordable, the Euro, Dollar, and Yen are all killing us immensely much to tourists' joy...The pickup you have in mind sells locally straight from the factory for the present equivalent of about €23.

cool, they sound decent then. How do they compare to a SD hot rails? Worth paying extra for the SD?
