So here it is: from bored webmonging while Mama Mia was on over Xmas, to reality in almost exactly one calendar month: my Matamp MiniMat 2 combo. Six watts, with an attenuator on the back and a greenback, custom built for the same as you'd pay in some places for a tiny terror combo. The service I received from the folks at Matamp really was second to none. Here's a pic, then a hidden Iceybomb:

Ace knobs from a Series 2000, plus tone controls even I can handle.
The attenuator makes a nice clack-clack-clack as you turn it, and exudes a nice "Mad Scientist" vibe.

Fran, will endeavour to record myself playing Dragonaut over and over again, like I have all weekend. Which itself segues nicely into 'Money', and then the "Are you being served?" theme.
I had to go and find out what this Dragonaut thing is and I've become trapped in a loop of awesome riffs. I was going to go offline shortly but now I have to sit up and learn/rock out to this song. You've stolen an hour of my life.
