When we were looking at that Hiwatt and you said the knobs on your Matamp were like it, I have to admit I was wondering if it wold look any good. I suppose I wasn't thinking of them being on the top of the amp in the vox style and they do look great.

Do you have a red light on it? You should definitley try and get a pink one like you planned if it's possible.

Asked for green (pink's a bastard to do, apparently) but got red - don't mind at all though. The knobs are fucking great, and should have been Â£7, but got thrown in for nowt. On the subject of that Hiwatt, I was talking to Jeff at Matamp this morning (they make Harry Joyce amps too) and he reckons if it's genuine, it'll be worth Â£2.5K, and would be a real investment...

Coincidentally I was adding up the value of the guitar things I own last night. I did it as part of considering selling some of it but I was curious as to the grand total, as it were. I got to about 3.5k before I realised I had best give up to save my sanity (although it was reasonably complete by that point).

If I sold a lot of it and spent the money on that Hiwatt I wouldn't be able to stop asking myself why on earth I have bought a 100 watt amp and a 4x12 cab. Not to mention the amount of times I'd stare blankly at it and mutter to myself "one point five.." before shaking my head in disbelief.

It's a disease I tell you.

I was talking to Martin, he told me the way the BBC do it is the put one end of the pair in a drill then hold the other one and turn it slowly.
