So after watching the Rutles film..

.. I realised I needed to do a kinda Beatles/Rutles-y stylee song. And I inadvertently ripped off Penny Lane in the chorus. Can I get away with it? Can I classify it as a "tip of the hat"?

Singing is pretty bad because I hate singing in halls :x

And the bass is weird cause it's PS-5 OCTAVE BASS BABBBY!!!

i hat singing in halls, i'm always a bit self concious so i can't belt stuff out.

loves it, it's a bit more blur than beatles but still all good.

I'm at Goldsmiths, so I have TEH COXONZ!

I actually listened intently to RUTLES songs, rather than Beatles songs for some pointers, believe it or not.

neil innes is brilliant at reverent parodies.

"ah moost be in loov"

can't hear your tune at work unfortunately, as the IT department believe we'll start tearing up the seats and jiving if we have sound cards in our PCs.

Hahaha, awesome. It's quite annoyingly catchy, if I do say so myself.. if a bit wordy.

Yeah, I'll do it proper- most likely as "Doog", seeing as I don't trust that bassline in the hands of anyone else..

Been thinking about a new Doog EP over Easter, proper band versions of some of the stuff I've had kicking around for a while now; like SS.org compilation exclusive "A Fire In My Fox". Excite.

Some great tunes on that film though, gonna have to pick me up an album.
